Top 10 Quotes from the Wide Road

PART 2

After spending more time on the road talking with Cam, we realized that we could do another Top 10 list of quotes from the Wide Road. Hoping that this is from inspiration and not from delirium, here is another 10. And hopefully the last from the Wide Road.

  1. I don’t have to go to church to be a Christian/That’s the day I spend with my family.

    Hebrews 10:25. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

    Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

  2. God didn’t call me to missions or to be a missionary.

  4. I’m Christian because I go to church every Sunday.

  5. If I don’t look out for me first, who will?

  7. I’m too old or young for God to use.

  8. I can’t be perfect like Jesus, so why try?

  9. I don’t need Jesus or religion.

  10. There is no God.

    Psalm 53:1. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.

    Romans 1:20. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

    Ephesians 4:18. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

You can’t run to the cross on the wide road. It’s a narrow path to the cross.
